What age should my child be?
Child Dedication is geared for children birth to 10 years of age.
Why is this different than baptism?
At LifePoint we believe that baptism is meant for a person who makes a personal decision to accept Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior and is old enough to confess Him publicly and understand God’s plan for salvation.
What if I am a single parent?
Single parents who are currently living a Christ-like life are welcome to dedicate their child to the Lord. We believe that unmarried parents who are living together are not honoring Christ and will be advised to wait until they are married to dedicate their child.
Do I have to be a Partner (Member) of LifePoint?
You do not have to be a member of LifePoint, however Child Dedication is for parents who can truthfully say, "I will commit myself to raising this child to know Jesus Christ by loving, disciplining, training, and setting a positive Christ-like example."
